About the Organisation
We are a leading provider of outsourced correctional and related services, managing Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre in Queensland, Junee Correctional Centre and Parklea Correctional Centre in New South Wales, and Ravenhall and Fulham Correctional Centre in Victoria.
GEO's mission is to provide government with quality cost-effective services, innovative correctional facility operation and the successful rehabilitation of offenders. The organisation strives to ensure that all facilities maintain the highest possible service and operating standards, as evidenced by the numerous accreditations held, from both local and global standards authorities. GEO's highly trained and motivated employees regard the organisation as "an employer of choice".
Through delivery of world-leading Continuum of Care services, GEO ensures that prisoners are guided and supported in breaking free from their cycle of reoffending. New Models for the management of prisoners coupled with unprecedented levels of pre and post-release support allow GEO to help identify and tackle the cause of crime.
We do this through investing in opportunities for prisoners to engage in work, education and programs. Prisoners are not only held safely and securely but given every chance to turn their lives around.
As an organisation we strive to foster and strengthen community relationships and take pride in being able to offer so much to the local community, including scholarships and sponsorship support for a range of community activities. GEO also invests in local businesses and employs many people who live in the local community.
